Ryanair flights blunder
05.03.08
A number of passengers arrived at Durham Tees Valley Airport for their flight two days early after a blunder by Ryanair. The 29 passengers were not told that their flight, the first by the budget airline from Durham to Alicante, Spain, had been moved from yesterday morning to Thursday.
Ryanair apologised for the mistake and offered all of the passengers a bus to Robin Hood Airport to catch a flight yesterday afternoon. Peter Sherrard, the airline's spokesman, said: ‘Due to a technical fault during the changeover of the Ryanair website, 29 of the 189 passengers booked to travel on the flight did not receive a schedule change notice. Ryanair sincerely apologises for this mistake.'
