Just 6 turn up to airport train station flashmob - then train doesn't !

A flash mob at one of Britain's most under-used railway stations attracted just 6 people. Even the organiser did not turn up, and then neither did the train they were planning to catch, the Northern Echo reports !
On a gloomy Saturday morning just 6 people appeared on the rather short platform of the stop at Durham Tees Valley Airport. To make matters worse, their expected train - 1 of just 4 trains stopping at the station every week - broke down, leaving them stranded in the wind and rain for more than an hour before it eventually arrived.
The event, promoted via the Internet and social networking sites, was intended to draw attention to the miserly number of trains using the station, which has recorded less than 100 passengers in each of the last 6 years. Unfortunately it does not appear that it will add significantly to that figure.
