Airport installs new security management system
05.11.07
As part of its £56 million expansion and development programme, Durham Tees Valley Airport has chosen to install the same security management system that has been successfully used at near neighbour Robin Hood Airport since 2005. The new system will enhance security and operations for the benefit of passengers, staff and airlines.
The airport, which is one of the fastest growing regional hubs in the UK, has chosen the CEM AC2000 AE (Airport Edition) security management system, already used at over 80 percent of UK airports. This will see airside and landside doors secured using IP-enabled CEM EtherProx card readers which seamlessly fit into the existing cabling and IT infrastructure at the airport.
