Airport boss to leave for new role at Cardiff
16.04.10
Durham Tees Valley Airport has begun the search for a new boss after director Kerry Quinn announced that she is to move on after 2 years in the role and 1 years working in various posts at the airport. She is to join to Cardiff Airport as operations director.
Since she took over as the boss at Durham Tees Valley, Middlesbrough born Ms Quinn has dealt with one of the ‘most difficult periods in the airport’s history’. Earlier this year the airport announced a radical revamp, axed 32 jobs and shut at night time after passenger numbers fell by 53% to simply 300,000 in 2009.
Recently the airport has announced a number of new routes, including Dublin, Southampton, Jersey and Turkey. However, Ms Quinn said that the Cardiff job was ‘too good an opportunity to turn down.'
