A new director has been appointed at Durham Tees Valley Airport, after its current boss - who will continue to be based at the airport in his new role - was promoted by the airport's owners.
New airport director, Kerry Quinn, is a former health service worker who joined the airport in 1999 as head of human resources. She was promoted to director of operations 3 years ago and wants to continue the trend of increasing passenger numbers and develop a greater choice of global routes for travellers in her new role.
Ms Quinn takes over the lead role at the hub from Hugh Lang, who has been appointed group director of the airport's major shareholder Peel Airports. She said: ‘I am delighted to take this new role at a very exciting yet challenging period in the airport's development. I am sure we can maintain the momentum in increasing passenger numbers, improving facilities and expanding the choice of routes.’
