Ryanair axe Alicante flights
18.11.08
Ryanair is axing its flights from Durham Tees Valley Airport to Alicante from mid-December for the remainder of the winter season. It currently operates the service 3 times a week. The airline will resume the flights - along with its fiights to Gerona - in the summer.
A spokesman for the airport said: ‘Obviously we are disappointed that Ryanair has decided to withdraw the Alicante service for the rest of the winter. All airlines are currently reviewing their operations in the light of very difficult conditions facing the industry and the economy as a whole.’
