Excelsis delay London City flights launch

Excelsis Air, the airline that hopes to link London City with Durham Tees Valley Airport, has admitted that it has hit problems. The new airline had planned to start selling tickets this week but it has not yet received certification from the UK aviation authorities or slots at the London airport.
An airline spokesman said: ‘There has been nothing signed yet with London City Airport. There has been some slippage in the timescale. We were hopeful of flying before the end of November, but it now looks more likely it will be at the end of the year.’ [He didn't say which year!]
