Ryanair axe Barcelona flights

Ryanair is to axe another of its routes out of Durham Tees Valley Airport. The budget airline, which only operates services to Barcelona and Alicante from the airport, has written to its customers saying that flights to Barcelona after March 28 have been cancelled.
The letter reads - ‘Ryanair regrets that following an operational review, [Barcelona] flights will cease operation from March 28, 2010, onwards.’ The news comes a few months after the airline scrapped flights between Durham Tees and Dublin.
