Businesses vow to back the airport
25.05.10
A number of major Tees Valley companies along with Middlesbrough Football Club have pledged to make Durham Tees Valley Airport their first choice whenever possible. More than 50 companies from across the North-East attended the launch of the 'Travel Pledge' initiative, through which businesses commit to making Durham Tees Valley their first choice for travel. The airport believes the show of support could help it attract more services.
Among the first signatories were ABB Engineering, which has offices in Redcar and Sunderland, and Tracerco, which has 28 offices around the world. Companies signing up receive a range of incentives, including discounted car parking and lounge access, regular business and leisure travel offers and the inclusion of their company logo on the airport’s website.
