Durham Tees Valley Airport is to make three redundancies following its recent takeover the Northern Echo reports. The airport has confirmed that it is in consultation with three employees; although it is not clear what roles are affected, from the small number we would guess it is management and / or sales positions that will be centralised.
Vancouver Airport Services reached an agreement in June to buy a 65% share in Peel Airports, which owns Durham Tees Valley along with Liverpool and Robin Hood airports A spokesman for Peel said: ‘Following the recent acquisition by Vancouver Airport Services and as part of a company wide restructuring, it has been necessary to enter into a consultation on proposed redundancies of a small number of staff at Durham Tees Valley Airport.’
