Ryanair announce Barcelona route

Ryanair will begin operating flights to Barcelona from Durham Tees Valley Airport from early next year as part of a major expansion from the Spanish city. The new route is part of the airline's biggest-ever expansion at Barcelona Girona Airport, which will include basing four new aircraft there and launching a total of 17 new routes.
Three-times weekly flights from Durham Tees Valley Airport will begin on February 12, a boost to the north-east England that recently lost its bmibaby services. The airport is located one hour from the centre of Barcelona by bus.
