Wizz axe Warsaw flights
30.08.08
Wizz Air, which launched flights between Durham Tees Valley Airport and Warsaw last year, is to axe the service because fewer migrant workers are travelling to Britain.
The Polish budget airline introduced 3 flights a week on the route last summer - the only link from the region to the Polish capital - because of the growing number of foreign workers employed in the region. However, the route will be discontinued in 2 weeks’ time when the summer programme comes to an end.
