Councillor appointed to steering committee
30.09.08
A Scarborough councillor has been appointed to a role on the Durham Tees Valley Airport steering committee, the Evening News reports. Northstead representative Eric Broadbent has been made a member of the airport's Consultative Committee by North Yorkshire County Council’s ruling executive.
The committee is the forum in which the management of Durham Tees Valley interact and exchange ideas with the communities in the vicinity of the airport, local authorities, business representatives and other airport users and interested parties. Councillor Broadbent 'will act as the eyes and ears of the county council, representing its interests and reporting back,' he told the newspaper.
